The ingredients needed to make Dhokla:
- Prepare For Dhokla
- Take Gram Flour
- Get Rava or semolina
- Get sugar
- Take ginger paste
- Make ready chilli paste
- Prepare lemon juice
- Prepare oil

- Make ready water
- Make ready Fruit salt
- Get For tempering
- Prepare oil
- Get mustard seeds
- Prepare asafoetida
- Prepare sugar
- Get Salt
- Make ready curry leaves
- Prepare whole green chillies
- Get Juice of 1 lemon
- Prepare Coriander leaves for garnishing
- Get Water
Instructions to make Dhokla:
- In a bowl sift gram flour. Add rava into this as well as add salt, sugar, chilli and ginger paste, lemon juice, oil and add a little water. Mix all the ingredients together. Add water slowly to make a lump free batter.
- Now heat the steamer, if you don't have steamer then place a wok on gas, place a stand inside the wok, add 2 cups of water and cover. Let the steam produce on high flame. Meanwhile Grease a plate with oil for dhokla. Add fruit salt into batter and sprinkle a little water on fruit salt and give it a mix. Pour batter into plate and place the batter into wok. Let it cook for 15 minutes on high flame.
- After 15 minutes check with a knife of dhokla is cooked or not. If you find a clean knife after removing from dhokla that means dhokla is cooked perfectly.
- For tempering, heat oil into pan. Add mustard seeds and wait for crackling. Now add asafoetida, green chilli,curry leaves, sugar and add water. Add salt and lemon juice and bring it to a boil. Tempering is ready.
- Now pour tempering onto dhokla and cut into pieces. Garnish with coriander leaves.
