Steps to make Easy Mizeria (me-zeh-ree-ah):
- Wash your cucumber.
- Now choose if you want it grated, or do you want thin slices. Careful on the fingers when grating though. (I went with grated using this side of the grater:)
- If you want to spice your Mizeria up, add some radish! You can grate it or slice into slices.
- Add your yoghurt, an amount which is enough to have a little bit excess after mixing with the cucumber.
- Add your vinegar, salt, black pepper, and sugar in a 4:3:2:2 ratio
- Note: Do not go overboard with the vinegar!
- Note 2: if you can't get spirit vinegar, use a similar alternative (do not use malt vinegar or apple cider vinegar!) You could probably get away with using lemon juice if you're desperate…
- Note 3: remember, the yoghurt cancels out some of the taste, and the cucumber soaks in whatever you'll add to some degree
- Mix it all up, but in the end you need to mix the 4 ingredients to your liking and remember to do frequent taste tests to make sure you don't overdo one of the 4 ingredients (the ratio is only a guide)
- Finally add a fair bit of dill and/or mint to give it that Herby zing
