Instructions to make Sweet and sour chicken:
- Cut chicken 2x2cm, add all ingredients until well combined
- Fry the chicken in non stick pan/pot until golden brown and crunchy
- Meanwhile make the sauce: heat 1Tsp of oil, add onion, capsicum until soften
- Add pineapple chunks with the juice and the rest of the ingredients
- Add corn starch to thicken the sauce. Add fried chicken to the sauce and combine
- Serve with steamed rice
This takes some time in preparation but you can also use frozen chicken. Absolutely the best sweet and sour chicken recipe I've ever tried. My husband and I thought it was delicious. This recipe is authentic and tastes very similar to the restaraunt style sweet & sour chicken. I probably will not make it again though because of the amount of work.
